What you will do:

The Material Handler is responsible for receiving and moving raw materials, parts, and packing materials to prescribed departments and locations.  Performs incoming inspection functions when applicable. 

How you will do it

• Operates and services power forklift trucks, uses hand trucks and other equipment.  Drive and operate a box truck. 

• May operate banding and wrapping equipment as required.  Receives and unloads trucks of incoming material.  
• Verifies and records counts of incoming and outgoing material on operating system and reports discrepancies to supervision.  
• Signs bills of loading on incoming material, loads miscellaneous materials to trucks such as scrap, empty drums and materials for other plants. 
• Follows incoming inspection procedures manual of specific materials to select, examine and record condition of samples.  Has knowledge of product and product specifications.  
• Reports to supervision when substandard samples are found. 
• May handle empty skids, pallets, and miscellaneous dunnage, and stack or store as required.  
• miscellaneous scrap materials out of production area to warehouse or yard.  
• Keeps warehouse and yard storage orderly to use available space to the best advantage. 
• Performs daily production cycle counts as directed by supervision.  
• Reports shortages of material of any kind and may be required to take inventory of material at periodic intervals as directed. 
• May perform other duties as directed by supervisor. 
• Responsible for keeping work area clean and orderly. 
• Supplies production lines with necessary materials when required and moves. 

What we look for 

Required Qualifications:   

• High School diploma or equivalent 
• Must be able to operate power forklift, hand trucks, small tools, pallets and computer terminals. 
• Must be able to work with numbers. 
• Must have good organization skills and be able to multi-task. 
• Must have a license and clear MVR background.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $16.68hr.-$22.98 hr. (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
