We are currently seeking a Project Logistics Manager to join our team based in Houston, TX.
About the Job
The Project Logistics Manager (PLM) will be assigned to manage the execution of onshore and offshore projects of varying scales. The PLM shall plan and manage execution of all transport and logistics activities within a project. The PLM shall participate in project management team activities to represent all aspects of logistics execution, primarily focusing on alignment with the Project Procurement Manager (PPM) and Project Director. For large scale projects, the PLM will directly manage a team of coordinators who execute daily shipment planning and execution activities. The PLM will be responsible for overall project logistics execution, planning and coordination of project activities with other disciplines, and management/supervision of a project logistics team, as needed.
The PLM role is a mid-senior level management position within the Global Sourcing and Procurement (GSP) business unit.
Candidates should have the ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 15% of the time.

Job Responsibilities
- Plan project specific transport and logistics execution plans and strategies as an integrated part of the project procurement strategy.
- Prepare project logistics schedules in cooperation with Engineering, Purchasing, Quality Control, Materials Management, and Construction disciplines.
- Prepare project specific procedures and specifications required to plan and execute material shipments with nominated material suppliers.
- Support transport and logistics service provider qualification activities.
- Conduct competitive bidding, negotiate rates and discounts for project specific transport and logistics services against structured agreements.
- Execute final bid evaluation and price comparison of project specific transport and logistics services against established guidelines.
- Control and supervise all transport and logistics activities for a project.
- Support Purchasing discipline to develop estimated transport costs, suitable Incoterms, and estimated transit time from point of origin to project destination.
- Coordinate with Trade Compliance to confirm any import/export requirements and/or restrictions, for procured equipment and material. Identify any potential conflicts for early resolution and advise PPM and Project Management Team (PMT) of any restrictions or other issues accordingly.
- Provide PMT and senior Procurement management with consistent reports on the status of an assigned project.
- Coordinate shipment execution with all disciplines and any client-nominated subcontractor assigned to project.
- Process and review transport and logistics service provider invoices.
- Evaluate nominated transport and logistics service provider performance against project specific key performance indicators, provide consistent feedback to PMT and senior Procurement management.
- Develop and support any marine cargo insurance program guidelines to the specific needs of commercial initiatives or project execution, as needed.
- Develop and execute guidelines for material supplier commercial documentation to ensure compliance to governing customs authority standards and to achieve consistency in all project execution.
- Prepare commercial documentation templates for international shipments and customs clearance, as needed.
