Summary
The Account Analyst, Tender Manager is a strategic role where the goal is to be responsible for managing the tender process, analyzing account needs, and ensuring efficient and effective communication with stakeholders. This role has a strategic expectation to advance to the role of Tender Manager, and requires a deep understanding of the industry, strong process execution and excel skills, and the ability to handle escalations and lead calls.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Review and analyze tender documents, including scope of work, terms, and conditions, to understand customer requirements and evaluate business opportunities.
- Collaborate with sales and managerial teams to develop comprehensive and competitive tender proposals.
- Formulate pricing per tender guidelines based on initial procurement guidelines and offer gap analysis in subsequent rounds based on collaborative customer feedback from the commercial owner of the account.
- Coordinate and oversee the tender response process, ensuring adherence to deadlines and submission requirements.
- Evaluate tender progress, ensuring timely responses to the internal DSV coordinator.
- Advise internal department manager to analyze industry dynamics, regulatory changes, and market key indicators which may affect pricing models.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance tender management processes and outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and organized documentation of tender submissions, contracts, and correspondence.
Educational background / Work experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. Additional certifications in tender management or procurement are advantageous.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in tender management, bid analysis, or sales support roles within the transportation and logistics industry.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in project management and multitasking.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and documentation.
- Knowledge of tender management software and tools (e.g., SAP Ariba, GTNexus).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the transportation and logistics industry, particularly in freight forwarding or supply chain management.
- Familiarity with tender management best practices and industry standards.
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to tender submissions and contract management.
