About the role
Description
The Maintenance associate is responsible for performing maintenance, repair, and janitorial activities. Including but not limited to installation and construction activities performed according to proper safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
- Deliver the World’s Greatest Firearm Experience.
- Inspects the facility for items in need of repair/ preventative maintenance and necessary improvements.
- Performs minor repairs such as drywall patching, painting, repairing doors and other building fixtures.
- Repairs, maintains, assembles, and moves furniture, such as desks, chairs, and related fittings and fixtures.
- Performs janitorial duties, including but not limited to cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the facility.
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies.
- Maintains records and logs of daily activities.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
- Inspect and maintain cleanliness of building exteriors.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
JOB KNOWLEDGE
Minimal formal education:
- High School graduate or equivalent degree required.
Qualifications:
- Safely and effectively use, operate, and maintain equipment and tools.
- Independently organize work, set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow up on assignments.
- Demonstrates strong customer service skills and establish, maintain, and foster positive and effecting working relationships.
- Outstanding oral and written communication, interpersonal, and persuasive skills required to interact with all levels of the store team and guests.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must have an open schedule.
Minimum experience required:
- Minimum of 2 years of previous facilities maintenance / janitorial experience.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to read a tap measure.
- Experience patching drywall and painting walls.
- Must be able to physically climb ladders, bend, or crawl into tight spaces.
- Must be able to lift heavy items no more than 50 pounds at a time.
