Position Overview

The Department of Corrections is looking for a detail oriented dietary professional with both a strong professional and food operations background. The ideal candidate will serve as the principal dietary manager at the Correctional Center and help to ensure that all dietary standards are upheld and complete. Essential Functions

• Plans, develops, coordinates, and directs all phases of the food services program for the facility.
• Serves as full line supervisor.
• Coordinates food storage, menu, and supply needs.
• Directs the preparation and maintenance of inventory records (food, supplies, equipment).
• Monitors and assists individuals in custody with dietary work assignments.
• Prepares dietary operational reports as required (daily, weekly, monthly, annually).
• Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college with courses in nutrition, dietetics, or food service management.
• Requires three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience.
