Purpose
Tenaris Licensor Technical Representative (LTR). Analyzes, interprets, recommends courses of action and provides Engineering and Technical assistance in one or more of the following areas: Gauges, Tooling, CNC Programming, Procedures, Forming, Drawing/IR, Training/Qualification, Special Processes, and Quality for TenarisHydril Premium Connections for Tenaris facilities and third party licensees. Interacts with internal and external contacts with higher level of autonomy.
Main Responsibilities
- Licensor Technical Representative for the DUSA/DICN Business Unit (the region). Occasionally, he/she may be required to assist other regions.
- Provides Technical support to the region's licensees and affiliates in relation to the manufacturing of premium and semipremium connections, including Gauges, Tooling, CNC Programming, Procedures, Forming, Drawing/IR, Quality and TLN system.
- Provides licensee support with procurement, quotations, order management and TLN to the region’s licensees for tooling and gauges.
- Provides onsite and remote threading/gauging witnessing service for critical customer orders in the region.
- Plans, liaises and schedules Connection Qualifications and Special Process Qualifications for licensees and affiliates in the region.
- Highlights, reports and documents any non-conforming items or activities and assists licensees in the region to close any pending found.
- Provides specific training on all manufacturing and related documents and procedures to ensure high levels of competencies.
- Interacts and reports to TESA and CFE in the region, about activities and status of licensees and affiliates in the region.
- Actively participates in internal training and meetings, in English language.
- Ensures issues relating to quality for Licensees and Manufacturing Services specifically: Audits, Corrective Actions, Customer Survey, Deviation Request, Technical Queries.
- Provides timely response to support requests in a professional and efficient manner in support of customer’s expectations
- Complies with HSE procedures, reports any incident or observation, performs inspections and participate in the investigation process.
- Complies with Tenaris policies, procedures and management standards, and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.
- Protects from damage, theft or misuse the facilities, equipment and other physical resources assigned to his/her area
Requirements:
Education Level: University
Specialization: Material Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Chemical Engineer, Mechatronic Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Chemical Engineer
Experience: 1 year
English Profiency: Advanced
Skills, special knowledge:
- Preferably knowledge in premium connections, industrial process/Quality & Thread production.
- Plus: Special processes knowledge such as phosphating, abrasive blasting, copper plating, Dopeless® Technology, stress relieving.
- Advanced level of English required.
- Availability to travel, approximately 50% of the time.
