Financial Analyst
Job Summary
GLG is seeking an Analyst to join the Finance team to support the team’s various initiatives and will play a significant role in designing, implementing, and executing budgeting and reporting processes within an integrated financial system. Additionally, this individual will be focused on being a business partner to the non-revenue generating Corporate Functions.
This person will be located at our New York office and will report to a Senior Manager on the Corporate Consolidations FP&A Team.
Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Financial planning, reporting and analysis, which includes reporting on actual versus budget P&L by business unit.
- Designing dashboards in a financial planning system to streamline user inputs and to automate reporting on business KPIs.
- Financial modeling using multiple types of data including internally developed operational metrics and financial data.
- Refreshing and enhancing revenue, expense and operational metric reporting on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Production of presentation materials for senior management and the board of directors.
- Developing success metrics and tools to track GLG products and services.
An ideal candidate will have the following:
- BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business, and advanced degree is preferred.
- 0-2 years of work experience, ideally in FP&A, accounting, investment banking, consulting, or other highly analytical roles.
- Strong technical skills with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Previous experience using Anaplan, Hyperion Essbase Planning, Host Analytics, TM1, Adaptive Planning or other financial planning software is desired, must be comfortable working with large databases.
- Strong communication and presentation skills are required.
- Must have strong attention to detail with a devotion to accuracy and data integrity.
- The ability to think creatively and focus on opportunities for growth.
- Demonstrate the ability and initiative to handle increasing responsibility over time.
- Adaptable disposition, along with an ability to adjust to change and ad-hoc requests.

Compensation: GLG is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. Certain roles may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
