About the Opportunity
We are seeking an energetic, patient-centered Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team at our Austin Hwy. clinic in San Antonio, TX. This role is ideal for an advanced practice provider who thrives in a fast-paced urgent care environment and enjoys full-scope practice across all age groups.
You will play a key role in diagnosing and treating patients, partnering with clinic teams, and positively impacting the health of the local community.
What You’ll Do

Evaluate and treat patients across the lifespan in an urgent care and occupational health setting

Provide compassionate, evidence-based care aligned with NextCare’s mission and service standards

Communicate clear treatment plans and next steps with patients

Document clinical encounters accurately in the EHR
-
Code and bill appropriately for services rendered
-
Practice ethically and legally, adhering to all clinical protocols
-
Maintain productivity consistent with organizational and industry benchmarks
-
Complete follow-up on patient care as needed

Qualifications
Required
-
Active, unrestricted Texas PA or NP license
-
Active DEA
-
NCCPA (PA) or ANCC/AANP (NP) board certification
-
NP candidates must be certified to treat all ages (e.g., FNP)
-
Bachelor’s degree (PA) or Master’s degree (NP)
-
Active BLS
-
Comfort treating all age groups
-
Proficiency with EHR systems
-
Ability to work occasional weekends and holidays
-
DOT Certification preferred; if not certified, we will register and pay for your training after hire
Preferred
-
Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track
-
X-ray initial interpretation experience
-
Suturing proficiency
-
Master’s degree for PAs
