PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Assistant Pool Administrator ensures completion of the program budget, annual reporting, and financial statements. Partners in the administration in the development of programs, underwriting processes, pool structure, governing, documents, regulatory requirements, risk control, and claims for assigned pool(s). Acts as the main contact for all client related issues.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages the program budget, annual reporting, and financial statements with internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversees and partners in the preparation of required materials for board meetings. Provides material and timing preparation direction to underwriting, accounting, risk control and claims in preparation for the board meeting.
- Partners with administration management team to develop and coordinate proposals and contribution quotations for prospective members for business growth and expansion within pool(s).
- Assists pool administration leadership in the development of programs, underwriting processes, pool structure, governing documents, regulatory requirements, attachment points, etc.
- Develops and maintains close relationships with clients and prospects.
- Assists with the development of programs, pool structures, regulatory requirements, and maintenance of governing documents.
- Coordinates all aspects of administration (program structure, program coverage, underwriting, financial aspects, risk control and claims with brokers, third party administrators (TPAs), government agencies, financial vendors, and members.
- Identifies and analyzes client exposures, coverage programs, and program(s) structure.
- Assists clients to develop and implement strategies to achieve agreed upon goals.
- Delegates (assignments including compiling meeting agenda materials, posting materials to client sites, record and publish meeting minutes, tracking of deliverables, composing basic correspondence, running reports, create and maintain electronic data, assist in scheduling, etc.) to various administrative colleagues.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Travels as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensing
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
Experience
Five (5+) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
