What You Will Do

 

As the Sr SAP Basis Administrator, you are responsible for providing technical subject matter expertise in designing, architecting, installing, and configuring SAP applications. The role’s purpose is to manage the daily operation of our SAP landscape, including monitoring application health and system, and performing maintenance of SAP application technologies. The role is expected to be hands-on for all design work and in the implementation of complex technical activities. Based on SAP standards, the SAP Basis Cloud Lead utilizes expertise to execute projects, including evaluating and implementing enhancements, technical design, upgrades, migrations, and integrations with other systems, to effectively implement SAP solutions that align with the long-range goals of the Information Technology function.

How You Will Make A Difference

• You will perform core SAP Basis administration including the maintenance and support of SAP landscapes hosted on premise and Azure cloud utilizing enterprise standards.
• You will be responsible for Basis projects, including SAP implementations, upgrades, OS/DB migrations, High Availability, and Disaster Recovery setup in Azure.
• Implement physical database layout, perform HANA database upgrades, implement backup, and restores strategy.
• Maintain database high availability, disaster recovery, security, performance tuning, manage database storage, and troubleshooting.
• Partner with SAP and internal IT Teams in the technical design and analysis of new and existing SAP and Azure relevant activities to ensure IT platforms meet expectations and maintain an efficient and reliable SAP landscape.
• You will be responsible for vendor management in the subject matter area.
• You will be responsible for change control, incident response, and testing processes for problems across the SAP landscapes and prioritize degree of urgency to support issues and communicate root causes.
• Identify and assesses existing and potential issues in the overall system and implement solutions to ensure that best practices and processes are followed and enhanced.
• Collaborate across IT functions, including Infrastructure and Information Security teams, to implement solutions for SAP that meet our standards and long-range plans.
• Research technological advancements to ensure that systems are continuously improved, supported, and aligned with SAP standards.
• Partner with peers across the IT function to solve complex business problems, including taking a lead role on the high-level solution options.
• This role serves as a liaison between networking and infrastructure teams to ensure efficient system administration.
• Distribute workload between Architecture/Design and Operations.

Must Haves

• A./B.S. or MA/MS in Computer Science, MIS, or related subject.
• Minimum of eight (8) years professional experience related to SAP administration, or the equivalent combination of education
