The Opportunity
The Senior Analyst will be responsible for developing analyses, presentations, and synthesizing data from various sources in support of reinsurance placement & administration, working closely with Business, Finance, and Capital/Catastrophe Modeling matrix partners. This is a high visibility role in the insurance organization supporting key growth initiatives for Ally. There will be interaction with internal and external parties in addition to solo and team projects.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to learn about the various core dealership and diversified growth programs and delivering solutions for large loss risk management. The team is responsible for placement of property & casualty treaties for the core Dealer Open Lot and Garage programs, as well as review of other strategic growth partnerships. Placement involves working with the business and external brokers to develop programs to balance cost and risk appetite.
This role would also assist administration of the programs including cession statement production, payments and settlements, and true-ups. In addition, risk management tasks occur throughout the year such as catastrophe risk monitoring, financial projections, and weather event reporting. Depending on skills, there is opportunity to using programming and other business intelligence and modeling tools. Training and development into these areas are expected over time. There are further opportunities to rotate into the capital modeling or catastrophe modeling teams in the larger organization.
