The Position

Supervisor Packaging and Filling Maintenance Mechanics

The Opportunity

• You perform, assist, and coordinate a wide range of operations connected with the installation, removal, repair, and maintenance of all types of filling, assembly and packaging equipment.

• Overseeing coordination of shift schedule(s) and personnel, contractors, and controls expense budgets for assigned maintenance service providers.

• Documenting and maintaining records related to maintenance and repairs.  Uses SAP Plant Maintenance for extensive documentation of general equipment information and maintenance activities.

• You ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs, and safety standards and practices. Meets and works with other leaders in coordinating associated activities to meet objectives and timelines.  Provides technical support on new and existing equipment and machinery.

• Assisting in procuring new equipment, performing Factory Acceptance Tests, and installation and operational qualifications.

• Performing scheduled preventative maintenance: inspects, maintains and repairs all types of mechanical, electrical, other elements of the production equipment.

Who You Are

Education Level

• Required: High School Diploma.        

• Preferred: Technical/trade school specializing in electrical or mechanical systems.            

 Experience   

• Required: 6 years in the maintenance and repair of filling, assembly and packaging production systems.      

• Preferred: supervisory experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must be able to work all shifts.

• Experience working in a GMP, clean room environment.  

Helpful experience (preferred):

• Pneumatics (e.g., valves, cylinders, etc.).

• Basic electrical systems (e.g., starters, fuses, contacts, relays).

• Mechanical systems (e.g., gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings, etc.).

• PLC (e.g., industrial maintenance, computer control systems, etc.).

• Vision Systems

• Servo drives (e.g., intelligent/robotic motors, in-coders, etc.).

• Troubleshooting (e.g., diagnostics, problem solving, etc.)

• Schematics (e.g., electrical blueprints with switches, starters, maps, relays, fuses, etc.).

• Ceramic and peristaltic Pumps (e.g., troubleshooting, replacing seals/motors, understanding specs, etc.).

• Packaging Lines (e.g., bottling, labeling, etc.).

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of New Jersey is 69 300,00 - 128 700,00 USD Annual.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
