About the role

Position Description

Forecasts sales and margins, conducts analysis of profitability, and makes recommendations to management for growing sales and maximizing overall profitability.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develops sales and margin profitability targets using market data and input from sales leadership
  2. Prepares annual, quarterly and monthly sales and margin forecasts
  3. Analyzes impacts of price/volume/product mix, budget/actual variances, and profitability by customer, product line, and geography
  4. Collaborates with sales teams, product planning teams, and the Finance to explain variances and propose solutions for increasing sales and margin opportunities
  5. Performs pricing analysis and make recommendations regarding pricing optimization
  6. Tracks the financial impact of sales discounts, allowances and rebates to customers to determine the financial impact and sales demand elasticity.
  7. Performs other duties as assigned

Job Skills Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, and the ability to translate data into actionable objectives
  • Solid working knowledge of sales planning tools,  experience with Microsoft office and data management tools as required by position
  • Advanced interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication styles that allow interaction at all levels of the corporation and customer base
  • Ability to manage multiple high profile projects requiring the interaction of sales, finance, production planning and business units
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Education

Bachelor's Degree in related field, or equivalent education and experience

Experience Requirements

  • Three years of experiences with marketing or sales analytics
  • Prior experience in the consumer products industry preferred
