Senior Product Applications Engineer

About the Role

Analog Devices is seeking a Senior Product Applications Engineer in the Advanced Data Converter Platforms Group (ADG).  This group develops transceiver products from narrowband to ultra-wideband for aerospace & defense, instrumentation and communication applications such as radar, 5G, LEO satellite, and smart phone testers.  These products create a mobile, connected, and safe future.  In this position you will work directly with IC design, product engineering, software, marketing, and field applications engineers to enable customers to move fast from evaluation to prototyping with ultra-wideband transceiver designs, to ensure a positive customer experience and win new design-ins.

This position is ideal for an energetic, motivated and application minded engineer looking for new challenges in enabling customers in the cutting edge transceiver technology space. The successful candidate will join a product applications team with deep domain expertise in A/D and D/A converters, DSP, algorithms, RF, high speed interface and transceiver-based designs.

Key Responsibilities

• System-Level Expertise: Apply and expand comprehensive understanding of relevant application segments to solve complex integration challenges and optimize customer designs
• Advanced Tool Development: Lead the creation of sophisticated application tools, reference boards, and software that demonstrate product capabilities and accelerate customer adoption
• Strategic Cross-Functional Collaboration: Drive collaboration across engineering, marketing, and sales teams to streamline product development, accelerate market introduction, and achieve business objectives
• Complex Problem Solving: Resolve sophisticated technical challenges for strategic customers, applying deep product knowledge and creative problem-solving approaches
• Comprehensive Product Validation: Design and execute thorough testing methodologies to validate product specifications, define operational boundaries, and ensure reliable performance across diverse application environments
• Technical Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert for specific product lines or application segments, providing guidance to junior team members and customers
• Competitive Intelligence: Conduct in-depth analysis of competitor products, create detailed comparison tables, and provide strategic insights to maintain ADI's competitive advantage
• Market-Specific Knowledge: Ensure products meet qualification requirements for specialized markets through rigorous testing and validation processes
• Thorough knowledge of Software and Software debug: Ability to understand software structure and implement test and debug software to facilitate resolution of customer issues.
