The Business Operations Long-term Strategy (BOLTS) team is searching for a strategic and results-driven Business Operations Sr. Manager to join our team. This person will partner with senior leaders across the Global Talent Organization (GTO) to drive strategic initiatives that shape LinkedIn’s talent strategy and accelerate business outcomes.

This role will partner with the Global Talent Organization (GTO) to design and execute high-priority strategic initiatives, conducting research and data analysis to identify opportunities and support decision-making. You will act as a key link between LinkedIn’s talent strategy and broader business strategy, ensuring alignment and driving outcomes through effective communication and collaboration at all organizational levels. 

The ideal candidate will possess strong strategic thinking and leadership abilities, including being capable of structuring ambiguous problems, developing evidence for recommendations through research and analysis, and have a strong bias-for-action. This candidate will collaborate effectively with senior leaders and can adapt their communication skills to different audiences and altitudes. Additionally, the candidate will have a proactive and curious mindset, bring enthusiasm for the role, and have experience or understanding of the Talent/HR space, along with technical skills such as SQL.

Responsibilities

  • Partner directly with the Global Talent Organization (GTO) to define, structure, and deliver against high-priority strategic initiatives
  • Conduct external research and collaborate on in-depth analysis of internal data to develop a deep understanding of talent, gather factual evidence to support decision-making, and identify improvement areas and opportunities.
  • Serve as the connective tissue between GTO and broader business strategy, including how talent strategy supports business outcomes
  • Communicate effectively across all levels and forums (within the team, to cross-functional partners, to leadership / executives) 
  • Proactively identify opportunities to address topics with the broader executive team

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in engineering, math, statistics, physics, computer science, business or related discipline or relevant work experience
  • 8+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in strategy consulting or a strategy-related role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, strategy or an operational or growth role within a technology company 
  • Experience solving talent or organizational challenges
  • Proactive: Independently capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources, and delivering results in challenging situations 
  • Structured thinking: Ability to structure ambiguous problems and drive progress in the face of ambiguity to achieve insightful, implementable, and impactful answers
  • Senior stakeholder management experience: Able to have a strong, independent voice to push teams’ thinking while able to build trust-based relationships across the company to drive alignment
  • Excellent communication skills: Need solid written and verbal communications skills and presence to be able to facilitate discussions and communicate insights with senior-level leaders
