We’re seeking a high-performing, strategic Vice President of Sales to lead Progyny’s expansion into the Labor Market—including union groups, Taft-Hartley plans, and large employers with workforce-based coverage. This role is ideal for a sales executive who thrives in complex, relationship-driven sales environments and has a strong track record selling into labor organizations, public sector entities, or multi-employer health plans.
As VP of Sales – Labor, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing a go-to-market strategy that drives revenue growth, builds deep relationships with key labor stakeholders, and positions Progyny’s family building benefits as a must-have solution for organizations prioritizing healthcare equity and reproductive health.

What you’ll do…
Own and lead the labor-focused sales strategy, targeting unions, multi-employer health plans, and large labor-intensive organizations.
Cultivate relationships with union benefit leaders, trustees, and Taft-Hartley fund administrators to drive adoption of Progyny’s solutions.
Navigate long-cycle, complex deals involving RFPs, collective bargaining agreements, and multi-party decision making.
Partner with internal stakeholders to support RFP/RFI development, pricing strategy, and solution positioning.
Build pipeline across key sectors such as public works, transportation, education, and service industries.
Stay ahead of industry trends, labor-specific healthcare legislation, and market shifts to inform strategy and messaging.
Represent Progyny at labor conferences, public-sector summits, and union health fund events.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, compliance, and legal teams to ensure alignment with labor needs and contract requirements.
Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for labor-focused partnerships and benefit program design.
About you…
Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, or a related field.
10+ years of B2B sales experience in healthcare, benefits, or insurance—with a deep focus on labor, union, or public-sector markets.
Proven success selling complex healthcare solutions to large organizations or health funds, ideally with Taft-Hartley or union fund experience.
Expertise in government and labor procurement processes, RFPs, compliance frameworks, and contracting vehicles.
Exceptional relationship-building skills and the ability to influence senior-level decision-makers, benefit committees, and boards of trustees.
Strong business acumen with a consultative selling style and a deep understanding of workforce health equity.
Self-starter mindset with a collaborative spirit and the ability to thrive in a mission-driven, fast-growing organization.
Proficiency with Salesforce or equivalent CRM platforms.
