Production Lead 2nd Shift

In order to continually promote and create innovative products that support our vision we are currently seeking a Production Lead 2nd Shift  for the Dothan, AL facility.

 

Summary:  

Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, directs the activities of employees involved in the operation of machinery to produce products by performing the following duties and other duties may be assigned.

Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Performs daily data entry task from manufacturing results as necessary to report production, efficiency, waste, reclaim and other operations related information.
• Analyzes work orders to determine machine time and employees necessary to complete within required time frame.
• Computes amounts of stock and supplies required for operations, based on production schedules, and requisitions materials from storage area.
• Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
• Inspects and measures products to verify conformance to quality specifications.
• Directs workers in the daily work assignments to include ensuring the safety of employees.
• Establishes or adjusts work assignments to meet production schedules.
• Suggests changes in working conditions, employee utilization, and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
• Ensures that time and production records are accurately maintained.
• Works with others to identify and develop continuous cost improvements.
• Communicate, reinforce, and enforce high housekeeping standards in area of responsibility.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in the Production Department.
• Perform inventories of work-in-progress and raw materials, as necessary.
