Who We Are

Golden Queen Mining Co., LLC (the “Company”) operates a gold and silver, open pit, heap leach operation on its Soledad Mountain property, located just outside the town of Mojave in Kern County in southern California. The Project uses conventional open pit mining methods and the cyanide heap leach and Merrill-Crowe processes to recover gold and silver from crushed, agglomerated ore.

With practical experience in heavy equipment mechanics and maintenance procurement, you’ve developed strong skills in managing reactive repairs, sourcing parts, and overseeing maintenance in complex settings. You're dedicated to doing the job right. You collaborate well with diverse teams, ensuring effective communication and alignment. You’re adept at multitasking, whether it’s managing calls, working on the computer, or keeping operations on track. You have a keen eye for detail and can handle data entry accurately, even under tight deadlines in fast-paced environments. 

This is a safety sensitive position. As the Parts Expeditor – Mobile Maintenance you report to the Mobile Maintenance Superintendent. 

What You Do

• Collaborate closely with Mine Maintenance Supervisors or their designees to manage all reactive mobile equipment maintenance on-site.
• Monitor and track all work orders related to reactive, unplanned repairs throughout the shift and work week.
• Coordinate with Mine Dispatch to ensure accurate reporting of downtimes and correct coding of repairs.
• Generate requisitions for purchase orders on all reactive repairs and track the location and availability of parts from various vendors.
• Build strong working relationships with vendors to effectively source parts and supplies.
• Work closely with the Purchasing Group to procure maintenance supplies, focusing on delivery times, and coordinating with warehouse personnel to ensure maintenance teams receive parts promptly upon arrival.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Planners on work orders that need to be transitioned from priority to planned maintenance.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisors in ensuring their crews maintain an adequate supply of company-provided PPE, such as gloves, earplugs, and safety glasses.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment for all personnel, ensuring full compliance with company, state, and federal safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Work closely and follow direction as needed from the Maintenance Senior Supervisor, General Supervisor, and Maintenance Superintendent, and perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

• Extensive hands-on experience in heavy equipment mechanics and/or maintenance procurement.
• Proven experience in reactive repairs, procuring parts, and overseeing maintenance activities in facilities with complexity comparable to those in a mining environment.
• Willingness and ability to work shift schedules, overtime, and adapt to additional hours as needed.
• Demonstrated capability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team, including heavy equipment mechanics, welders, tire personnel,
