7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Job Objective: To lead and supervise assigned manufacturing team, ensuring efficient manufacturing processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and achieving operational excellence in order to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost goals and objectives on a daily basis.

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Commitment to Safety:

    • Demonstrates a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.

    • Promotes a culture of safety within the organization. Leads by example and encourages others to prioritize safety.

    • Promptly reports any safety incidents or near-misses to the appropriate personnel and contributes to the investigation process.

    • Active participation in safety-related programs and initiatives is required as necessary. This includes involvement in the safety committee on a rotating schedule, as well as participation in Risk Assessments, Exposure Hunts, department inspections, and change management activities.

  • Responsible for daily management performance on SQDC for Group of cells Tier  2 and Tier1

  • Facilitate or lead problem solving activities, including escalation and getting support departments involved using our Tiered management system.

  • Ultimately responsible for the quality of the products manufactured.

  • Supervise, support and coordinate team members for daily production performance and problem solving

  • Ensure cells/processes have everything required for efficient starts and normal runs (people, tools, equipment, Standard Work, paperwork, materials)

  • Reinforce and enforce Standard Work is being followed

  • Conduct audits with operators on safety, the use of control plan, line speed, proper material, quality requirements, sample requirements, etc.

  • Facilitate and provide training to Associates, Specialists and Tech Leads, as needed (Labor Model / Cross-Training matrix).

  • Responsible to  assist in the management of the Labor Model

  • Responsible to coordinate and improve cross training and certification flexibility index.

  • Promotion of Policies and Systems (Daily Management, Quality Initiatives, 5S).

  • Run Production meeting and update Schedule Completion metrics.

  • Assures that all corrective actions to eliminate the repetition of non-conforming products are followed.

  • Establishes goals and objectives aimed at supporting departmental and overall company objectives.

  • Is responsible for departmental safety, inspection and regulations with special attention to accident reduction and ergonomics.

  • Develops plans for personnel education, training, cross training and certification.

  • Evaluates performance of direct reports and provides recommended course of action, included disciplinary actions.

  • Approves all vacation and absence requests.

  • Maintains timely and accurate attendance records.

  • Assures fair and consistent application of company policies.

  • Attends departmental staff meetings and training sessions.

  • Conducts  Daily communication meetings as required.

  • Ability and willingness to attend off-shift meetings as required or requested.

  • Full time on-site presence required

  • Other duties and responsibilities may be required for the performance of this role.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum Required:

  • Five years of leadership experience, which can include product development, quality systems, or engineering.

  • Computer literate:  Oracle, Word, Excel and Access.

  • Ability to do self-pace learning including book, web-base and classroom participation.

  • Ability to read and interpret written instructions, to complete basic paperwork and data entry.

  • Lean Manufacturing hands on experience.

  • Demonstrate effective communications skills necessary to interact with production personnel.

Desired:

  •  B.S/ B.A in technical discipline

  • Five years’ experience in woven processing in a manufacturing environment with 2 years including process development, troubleshooting and general maintenance of machinery; or a related two-year trade school degree.

  • Experience with manufacturing resource planning systems.

  • CPR/First Aid certification.
