Grain Originator Intern

Summary: This seasonal position assists the daily activities involved in the New Vision Grain Department. This position will assist with grain operations and grain origination efforts for New Vision Co-op.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Supports New Vision Co-op’s stated Vision, Mission, and Business Values.
• Projects a positive attitude to customers and employees at all times.
• Provides outstanding and courteous customer service.
• Assist with grain operation tasks including but not limited to: loading/unloading trucks and railcars, the cleaning and maintenance of grain elevators, and running the grain scale
• Assist with grain origination efforts with Grain Department Manager.
• Understand and support all New Vision policies and programs.
• Assists with monitoring and maintaining quality of inventory.
• Assist with routine record keeping.
• Accept additional responsibilities as directed by Supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Some post-secondary education in Ag Business, or other Agricultural related degree program. 
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work as a team member.
• Valid driver’s license.
