Job Description
AECOM is hiring an Architectural Design Manager based in Las Vegas, NV. The Design Manager will be responsible for the day to day project and client management for multi- discipline architectural and engineering design services for buildings and facilities projects and teams from the initial planning through construction phase. The portfolio of work includes a wide variety of project sizes with a focus on airport work.
Candidates must be willing to locate in Las Vegas, NV to support assigned projects. Duties and responsibilities include:
- Working with the project Principal-in-Charge throughout all phases of the project to obtain client satisfaction and financial project performance
- In conjunction with the Principal-in-Charge, successfully developing strategy, preparing and reviewing proposals, negotiating contracts, and executing project(s)
- Overseeing project throughout the lifecycle of the project from identification to capture, execution, construction and closeout
- Managing and directing professional and technical staff to complete complex architectural and engineering projects
- Overseeing the development of work plans and organizing project studies
- Communicating with clients and project teams which will include all airport stakeholders
- Developing and managing project schedules and budgets
- Conducting reviews and providing staff feedback for continued improvement
- Implementing quality assurance
- Managing of teams across multiple disciplines, and/or management of subcontractors
- Preparing, coordinating and facilitating project meetings, preparing and maintaining the agenda with associated meeting minutes
- Maintaining project documentation control
- Reviewing design documents and coordinating design reviews with various stakeholders
- Assisting with project presentations to senior management
- Facilitating team communication, coordination, and collaboration to support assigned projects
- Being a Collaborator with, and mentoring less experienced employees
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering discipline plus 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications:
- Licensed Professional Engineer or Architect
- 10+ years’ experience within an architectural/engineering profession
- Project management experience managing multi-discipline architectural engineering building and facilities design projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education
- Management of airport projects preferred
- LEED Accreditation is a plus
- PMP Certification is a plus
- Security Clearance is a plus
- Experience in design-build and other alternate delivery methods is a plus
- Excellent strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Additional Information
- Offered rate of compensation (Nevada locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $170,000/yr.
