Senior Analyst, Middle Office

Ripple is hiring a Senior Analyst, Middle Office team member to support the expansion and scale up of Ripple’s Finance organization. You will report to the Director, Middle Office and work collaboratively across the Finance team to help build, codify and harden processes to enable the secured and scaled growth of the Finance team in support of Ripple’s business and customers.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Monitor intraday activities and processes across multiple products and systems
• Set up client services process to handle communications between customers and Ripple, including assisting with inquiries and escalations and arranging settlements
• Establish lines of communication with internal and external customers, venues, and counterparties
• Work cross-functionally and across regions to ensure adequate coverage and timely resolutions to escalations
• Process bookkeeping entries to reflect product and operational activities within Ripple’s systems of record
• Become an expert in the existing finance operational flows by working with key stakeholders to document and improve existing processes
• Implement off-the-shelf solutions, including leading and participating in QA / UAT for new/changed functionality
• Act as first line of defense for various activities, including monitoring of trading activity, balances, positions, and suspicious activities
• Monitor intraday activity with trading venues to ensure that assets sold under an extended settlement arrangement are delivered within required deadlines

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Self-driven with a passion for efficiency and continuous improvement
• Experience with implementing off the shelf and in-house solutions
• Knowledge of custody, clearing and settlement processes 
• High proficiency in Google and Microsoft office applications, including Excel and VBA
• 5+ Years of hands-on operations experience, including books and records maintenance, reconciliation and exception processing
• Knowledge of general accounting principles is a plus
