Job Summary
As the Rank+Rally Retail Operations Manager you will assist the Director of Retail in executing “The Difference” regarding all retail operations, human resources, and financials. You will implement procedural standards and expectations for the on-site retail operation as well as customer experience. The Retail Operations Manager will report directly to the Director of Retail to meet and exceed sales goals.
Essential Responsibilities
- Work with Director of Retail, Store Managers, and HR in the recruiting, training and development of retail team that exemplifies best-in-class customer experience
- Knowledge and ability to execute Rank and Rally Core Signatures
- Strong experience in professional development and management of retail sales teams and the ability to shape customer experience through expert understanding of product in relation to excellence in execution: service, visual merchandising, building a sales and service focused culture. Responsible for enforcing store policies and procedures
- Excellent leadership, organizational, presentation, communication, and customer service skills with a high attention to detail and demonstrated creativity to resourcefulness in problem-solving
- Merchandise planning, buying and inventory management against sales trends; manage assortment planning including building product assortment, selection, pricing, and vendor management. Develop and implement min/max levels based on the sales history by location
- Operational accountability including overseeing store hours operations, managing profits and loss, monitoring financial performance and preparing sales reports, budgets, and other reporting as needed
- Facilitate the Customer Service Training and Loss Prevention Training programs with all associate prioritizing consistence in messaging
- Oversee the physical inventory process -- quarterly counts and weekly counts, the planning, taking, and reconciliation of the physical inventory
- Maintain the integrity of the inventory and cash accountability by ensuring proper supervision and compliance with all internal controls
- Thoroughly and accurately uses applicable R+R/Levy systems (POS systems, WFM scheduling, and more) and executes required daily reporting in a timely manner
- Oversee the receiving and distribution of merchandise. Ensure that the inventory is received, ticketed, and distributed to all locations and properly entered the POS/Inventory Management system
- Develop and implement min/max levels with Director of Retail based on the sales history by location
- Ensures that all safety. security, and sanitation standards are achieved
- Reviews schedules to assure desired target within labor budget
- Holds team accountable to daily responsibilities to deliver great guest service
- Promotes a cooperative work climate, maximizing productivity and morale
- Displays a positive attitude towards team members
- Performs other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working in retail or sales environments
- Stamina to work 60 hours or more per week as needed
- Must be able to work extended shifts of 10 hours or more as business dictates
- Must be flexible with schedule and able to work different shifts (nights, weekends, and applicable holidays)
- Must be able to reach, lift, stoop, bend, and perform extensive standing and walking (including stairs) throughout shift
