TRAINING MANAGER

Overview

Designs, develops, revises and updates educational content for adult learners on technical subjects and industry related topics to address the needs of employees, business partners and customers. Works with subject matter experts for translating user requirements and training designs into quality, technology-based solutions. Responsible for producing and maintaining content for various product formats, including classroom-based, print-based, instructor guided online, and self-study online courses. Works with delivery team and instructors to ensure that programs are delivered as designed. Performs project management functions for assigned projects.

Responsibilities

· Uses instructional design methodologies to design, develop, revise, and update educational content for various course formats. Project manages the development and maintenance of educational content, setting and meeting time deadlines and budget requirements. Course development responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing needs analysis, creating learning objectives, designing and developing course content, meaningful interactions, and corresponding assessment items, and creating, selecting, and incorporating graphics, audio, and video into courses as appropriate.

· Conducts needs assessment and gap analysis to map content to user profiles. Research, evaluate, and vet resources that support development goals and objectives, ensuring that content, delivery method, and style are appropriate for culture and needs, while driving costs and operational efficiencies.

· Works with the delivery team and instructors to ensure that programs are delivered as designed. Implement strategies to ensure the retention of institutional knowledge and experience to remain a strong and nimble organization.

· Performs project and program management functions for assigned projects and programs.

· Keeps current on new educational technology and instructional design principles.

· Makes recommendations for improvement to processes and products.

· Ensures the product and process information is up-to-date and accurate in all training materials.

· Supports delivery and operations as required. Occasionally travels and/or facilitates online and/or classroom programs. Assists at Car Wash College classes and sales conferences as required. Conducts ongoing evaluation of program effectiveness and recommend modifications for future programming to meet established needs of management and staff; prepare periodic reports for senior leadership.

· Collaborates with department managers to analyze and evaluate the competencies of department staff members and assesses gaps in critical knowledge, skills, and abilities; use evaluation data for quality improvement of training offerings. Develop action plans that align with the needs of the department and enhance employee performance.

· No current supervisory responsibility is required. Ability to successfully mentor developers and associate developers is required.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree required

· Car Wash industry knowledge required 

· Car wash chemical knowledge required

· Three to five years of instructional design experience required

· 75% travel required

· Portfolio samples will be required.
