Role and Responsibilities
Overview:
- This role will drive product planning, and lifecycle management for TWS (earbuds) in Mobile Enhancement Team for the US market.
- The individual will join the Plano, Texas-based SEA Mobile Enhancements Product Management organization directly supporting SEA leadership, Carrier & Retail account teams, cross-functional GTM teams, and the Headquarters-based product planning and product management organizations.
- A successful individual will become an expert in the market, our products, our competitors, our consumers, and our customers (Carriers & Retailers). This role will function as an overall market expert, will be the product owner for the TWS portfolio, and work with the product strategy and category management teams to secure the financial success of the category.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead TWS products and focus on driving attach rate and market share growth across key segments and channels
- Partner with the Headquarters to ensure US consumer needs and requirements are well represented in future roadmap planning
- Collaborate with Carrier & Retail account teams for new product introductions & customer RFPs to secure a positive portfolio-ranging result
- Lead a cross-functional effort to drive strategy for new product launches, including data-based rationale for key objectives, business goals for volume & revenue, and KPIs to measure progress
- Own product positioning & value proposition for the US Market – based on a deep understanding of US market trends, competitor strategies, consumer insights, and other market research.
- Partner with the Marketing Team to define target consumers, create guiding documentation (key feature prioritization, messaging, value props, etc.), and product claims.
- Review & approve training documentation, press materials, etc. based on defined product positioning
- Serve as product line spokesperson, representing the product value proposition to internal stakeholders, customers, & media
- Focusing on post-launch analyses, leading the review from a product/Voice of consumers’ perspective and contributing analysis and recommendations based on performance
- Advocate for technology roadmap for future TWS products, validating US requirements as well as Samsung-driven initiatives to drive product and business innovation
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 8+ years relevant experience, preferably in the Tech or Mobile market
- Experience with commercial technologies or consumer electronics
- Excellent written, and oral communication skills with a proven ability to provide clarity in complex situations
- Experience producing highly effective presentations to communicate with internal and external customers and executives.
- Passion for creating great customer experiences and for solving problems
- Ability to work independently, quickly, and thoroughly to prioritize and complete tasks and meet deadlines
