About the role

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide acquisition management and technical support to the full life-cycle (acquisition through deployment) development of hosted payloads for the Innovation & Prototyping Directorate and related engineering and development sub-organizations
• Provide expertise and advice to Program Managers, Project Managers, Engineers, and other senior Space Force and Air Force leadership on acquisition strategies, project execution, contracting, budgeting, and scheduling
• Develop/coordinate acquisition planning actions, briefings, and compliance documents
• Develop/coordinate solicitation planning and overarching execution documents (e.g., RFPs, SOWs, CDRLs, Incentive Plans, etc.) as prescribed by/tailored from DoDI 5000.02, Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs), and relevant DoD, USSF, and SSC policies pertaining to rapid prototyping
• Apply DoD systems engineering, acquisition and management policies, principles, and instructions
• Provide technical and programmatic assessments of contractor designs and milestone reviews to assess progress, evaluate risks, issues, and opportunities, and to fulfill mission requirements
• Attend and contribute to program and project management meetings and collaboration sessions
• Prepare and review draft briefings, reports, trip reports, concept papers, and weekly activity reports as assigned to support decisions, milestones, evaluation results, technical discussions, and associated activities
• Facilitate communication on technical subjects and prepare/update “plans of action and milestones” (PoAMs) to achieve and document problem solving
• Provide status reports on all support efforts including updates on contract and program performance, major activities, challenges, deliverables, and subcontractor performance
• Develop and maintain program schedules using MS Project and related reporting tools

Required Skills and Experience: 
• Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s and equivalent applicable years of experience in lieu of a Master’s
• 10 or more years of relevant DoD program management and systems acquisition experience
• Experience developing and briefing analyses and data packages which provide clear results, recommendations, and courses of action to Government decision-makers
• Proficiency in MS Office products, MS Teams, and other collaborative tools
• Experienced writing and delivering technical documents and briefings to peers, management, and the customer at all levels
• Able to identify risks, issues, and interdependencies between stakeholders, system elements, contracts, and agreements
• Able to interact and coordinate daily with stakeholders including Program Managers, Project Managers, Contracting Officers, Action Officers, external organizations, and acquisition and/or engineering peers
• Able to skillfully interface with all levels of functional and division acquisition organizations
• Able to effectively coordinate and accomplish support tasks for Government Program Management Offices (PMOs) and project management teams
• Excellent communication skills, customer relationship skills, organizational skills, and technical skills
• TS/SCI Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position

Compensation: The salary for this position ranges from approximately $135,000 to $145,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
