An organization within Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems Sector, Microelectronics Design and Applications (MDA) is a leading innovator in advanced microelectronics design and fabrication. MDA is seeking a Sr. Staff High Performance Computing (HPC) Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) Lead. This position is located at Baltimore, MD locations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure system technical compliance with the program Statement of Work (SOW) and system requirements.
  • Develop system level roadmaps capturing the advancement of MDA and other relevant technologies.
  • Lead system engineering activities: trade studies, analysis of alternatives and requirement decomposition/allocation.
  • Collaborate with Cost Account Manager (CAM) activities.
  • Lead Configuration/Change Control Board activities.
  • Collaborate with solution providers and partners to verify capabilities satisfy program requirements.
  • Design validation approaches to ensure the system fulfills its operational objectives and stakeholder requirements in its intended operational setting.
  • Ensure system technical compliance with the program Statement of Work (SOW) and system requirements.
  • Develop system level roadmaps capturing the advancement of MDA and other relevant technologies.
  • Lead system engineering activities: trade studies, analysis of alternatives and requirement decomposition/allocation.
  • Coordinate between the System Architect, Chief Engineer, Product Team Lead(s), program manager, and customer to ensure the integrity and executability of the program technical baseline

Basic Qualifications for Sr. Staff HPC SEIT Lead:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM area (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math), with 14+ years of experience in engineering of systems supporting High Performance Computing or a Master’s degree in a STEM area (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math), with 12+ years of experience in engineering of systems supporting High Performance Computing.
  • Experience with high-performance Linux servers, low-latency network fabrics, and/or distributed storage technologies.
  • Demonstrated requirements management from elicitation to verification, facilitating internal and customer collaboration to capture and enhance engineering artifacts
  • Demonstrated experience managing risk and opportunity for production of core engineering work products and track the work products and associated program dependencies in the program schedule.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading technical team in systems engineering processing from generation of an Integrated Master Plan (IMP) to Work Product Breakdown into Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for the development of complex systems of systems.
  • Knowledge of high-performance software development paradigms, such as parallelization, disk I/O, or memory caching.
  • Candidate Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Active US Government security clearance per customers requirements
