Job Description
AECOM Hunt is seeking a Construction Intern to be based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
This position is expected to begin in the Summer of 2024.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks.
- Follows instructions to accomplish tasks assigned by senior staff.
- Meets required schedules while producing quality work.
- Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study.
Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a similar field with the intent to continue after the internship, unless graduating.
- Candidates must have completed one year of study in their program.
- Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Valid state or federally issued picture identification required to obtain a security badge for access to the project site.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working for a large general contractor.
- Previous relevant internship experience.
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, and Outlook) as well as exposure to construction-based computer programs.
Additional Information
- Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
- Relocation assistance may be offered for this position.
- Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
- In order to receive a security badge at the client worksite for which you are being hired to perform services, you will need to pass a 10-year criminal history screening and be fingerprinted, both of which will be done after you have commenced employment and are conditions of your continued employment.
- Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this position typically is $14.00 - $25.00/hr.
