The pay range is $126,600.00 - $227,900.00

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications. As a Lead Engineer, you serve as the technical anchor for the engineering team that supports a product. You create, own and are responsible for the application architecture that best serves the product in its functional and non-functional needs. You identify and drive architectural changes to accelerate feature development or improve the quality of service (or both). You have deep and broad engineering skills and are capable of standing up an architecture in its whole on your own, but you choose to influence a wider team by acting as a “force multiplier.”

Supporting over 2,000 stores across the U.S., our team powers the backbone of Target’s operations—an extensive supply chain network of 50+ warehouses and a robust transportation fleet moving $19 billion of inventory annually to stores and fulfillment centers. This network enables a variety of fulfillment methods, from distribution centers to in-store solutions, ensuring flexibility and convenience for our guests.

At the core of our operations are the applications and services we develop to empower over 500,000 team members across stores and distribution centers. These tools ensure that our products are always available to meet guest needs. Our systems also support a superior Target shopping experience, powering 60,000+ registers, self-checkout kiosks, and mobile point-of-sale devices.
