Enterprise Architect (d/f/m)

A vacancy for an Enterprise Architect has arisen in Taufkirchen in Germany. The successful applicant will join the Architecture Strategy & Programs – that is part of the Architecture Management & Transformation of the Digital Function of Airbus Defence and Space.

You will be part of an Enterprise Architecture & Project Manager team that develops the Enterprise Architecture Strategy and Roadmaps and defines the required governance in terms of policies, directives, and methods as well as architecture building blocks, technology standards and Master Plans for the Architecture Management unit of the Digital Function. In addition, you will be working with business functions not only to elicit and understand the business considerations to conceptualized information system solutions but also to provide Enterprise Architecture consultancy. Last but not least, you will collaborate with process owners and Digital business partners to identify inefficiencies in our as-is enterprise architecture and define the to-be enterprise architecture in order to derive and prepare strategic Digital initiatives.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Analyse the company strategy and defines the fit for purpose enterprise architecture for infrastructure, cloud and data integration. Applying newest methods and technologies like zero trust network, (restricted) cloud architecture and end 2 end data integration on user and  machine level.
• Define Enterprise Architecture standards and guidelines considering newest methods and technologies.
• Consult peer and management level and defines the enterprise architecture roadmap for infrastructure and cloud related subjects.

Desired skills and qualifications

• Educated to a Master level (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related discipline or a Bachelor degree/ completed vocational training in IT in combination with extensive professional experience
• Practical knowledge of Enterprise Architecture Management, Lead Solution Architect or Systems Engineering
• Knowledge in of the areas of Zero Trust, Cloud Architecture, Infrastructure as a Code, modern infrastructure and end to end data integration
• knowledge in restricted security context would be a plus
• Experience in Project Management and functional leadership
• Entry level knowledge in the design of high reliable, high available information systems
• Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
• Language Skills (German and English at negotiation level, French as a plus)
