About This Role:

This position focuses on general accounting support under the direction of the Controller. The duties include, but are not limited to, processing AP, AR, Payroll and tax, and other duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum of two years general accounting experience.  
• Must be familiar with basic accounting practices and principles, including general ledger functions, monthly closing and preparation of financial reports using industry standard software.
• Ability to manage numerous tasks simultaneously with regular interruptions while maintaining a strong attention to detail. 
• Knowledge and use of accounting software a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and maintain a high standard of professional courtesy, flexibility, confidentiality and discretion while working collaboratively in a small office environment, independently and as a team member.
• Ability to work with a wide variety of people
• Self-starter with ability to take initiative and problem solve
• Advanced communication skills, both written and oral
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook and navigating databases.
