Instructional Systems Designers

Team Carney Instructional Systems Designers (ISD) design and develop, or re-design, instructional content for web-based, instructor-led courseware, and/or blended training; nurture and sustain strategic client partnerships and ensure delivery of high-quality solutions.   The ISD's for this government client will bring their experience and expertise in curriculum development to the area of grant writing.   

This is a HYBRID position, requiring occasional travel to an Alexandria VA office.   

Responsibilities:

• Assist federal SME’s in the design and development of course content, curriculum, course descriptions, visuals, engagement tools, gamification, knowledge checks, learning guides, instructor guides, and supplemental materials for e-learning module and instructor led courses.
• Review and analyze multiple curricula and program assessment requirements to identify, articulate, and validate the new assessment requirements. 
• Implement the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) process to design courses, create new learning objectives and develop lesson plans. 
• Incorporate instructional strategies that support testing and evaluation to use integrated scenarios assessments across multiple training programs. 
• Ensure alignment of training solutions to the requirements, job tasks, learning objectives and assessments.  

Minimum Requirements:

• Previous experience designing scenarios and simulations
• Have a firm grasp of the concepts of immersion and engagement  
• Minimum of three years of experience in the field of adult education.

Preferred Requirements:

• Desired formal certification in a recognized instructional design program or education degree with ISD course work
