Texas Commercial Manager

As a Texas Commercial Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our Texas branch office, overseeing both the physical site and its team members. You will ensure our Texas commercial operations adhere to Department of Insurance regulations while maintaining important relationships with underwriters, partners, and brokers. Your expertise in Texas title regulations and commercial transactions will help our team navigate compliance requirements and deliver exceptional service to clients.

About the role

• Work in conjunction with Legal to maintain necessary and proper escrow and title licensing, while handling matters related to Texas commercial transactions.

• Review proposed process changes to ensure they meet Texas requirements

• Assist with DOI and underwriter audits for Texas commercial business

• Maintain local underwriter, partner and broker relationships and develop new ones as needed

• Help facilitate underwriter visits and on-site training

• Monitor and maintain underwriter policy inventory

• Assist Accounting with remittance discrepancies

• Handle escalated contact for TX commercial-related matters.

• Work closely with the training team to create and/or review material for Texas commercial business areas.

About you

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial title experience with demonstrated knowledge of Texas regulations

• Established professional network within the Texas commercial industry

• Strong understanding of title insurance processes, escrow procedures, and commercial real estate transactions

• Experience with regulatory compliance, particularly with Texas Department of Insurance requirements

• Proven leadership skills with ability to build and maintain professional relationships

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications

• Texas title insurance license or escrow officer license

• Experience managing audits and regulatory examinations

• Knowledge of title production software platforms

• Experience with business development and client relationship management
