<p>Survival Equipment Assistant – Life Raft Bay Technical Support </p> <p>RAF Brize Norton</p> <p>Carterton, OX18 3LX</p> <p>Full Time, Permanent (40 hours per week)</p> <p>Monday – Friday (0730 – 1700)</p> <p>Week 1 – 5 shifts, Week 2 – 4 shifts (flexible day off decided by the Team Leader)</p> <p> </p> <p>At RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, Serco has been providing multi-activity and engineering support since 1997.  Serco proudly support the RAF and MoD, supplying around 20 different services onsite, from engine and aircraft maintenance, to fuelling and ground control services. RAF Brize Norton is the largest operating base within the Royal Airforce, providing air transport and air-to-air refuelling to the RAF fleet.</p> <p> </p> <p>We’re currently recruiting an Assistant Technician role to support the Survival Equipment Team on site. Working within the Serco team, you will work in a blended workforce environment with the Royal Air Force colleagues and SERCO Team members, delivering services in the following areas:</p> <ul> <li>Receptionist and front of house duties to include taking and arranging appointments for RAF Flight Crew Flying Clothing and equipment maintenance, issue, and replacement.</li> <li>General office administration to include filing, photocopying, database updates and record keeping.</li> <li>Team SharePoint Site updates and management.</li> <li>Production of team meeting minutes and records.</li> <li>Booking staff training courses.</li> <li>Allocating/co-ordinating RAF staff routine duties.</li> <li>Running, controlling replenishing the stationery store.</li> <li>KPI Recording including collating Survival Equipment Team general performance and manning performance data.</li> <li>Facilities Management to include co-ordinating building repairs and maintenance requests.</li> <li>Assist with basic Survival Equipment Tasks.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>What you'll need to do the role:</p> <ul> <li>This is an opportunity for someone to join our skilled and dedicated Brize Norton team, in a role where they can develop and learn in a new environment.</li> <li>Be an excellent written and verbal communicator.</li> <li>Excellent Time Management and organisational skills.</li> <li>Attention to detail.</li> <li>Ability to understand and follow technical instructions and technical manuals.</li> <li>Functional IT Skills, particularly Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and SharePoint).</li> <li>Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. </li> <li>Due to the nature of the role, all personnel must be able to achieve SC Security Clearance, as well as MoD specific Modular training provided by the Royal Air Force.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>What we offer:</p> <ul> <li>25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.</li> <li>Annual leave purchase scheme.</li> <li>Up to 6% contributory pension scheme</li> <li>Flexible working options.</li> <li>Free onsite parking.</li> <li>Serco discounts which include cinema, merlin entertainment and online shopping discounts, and discounts on mobile phone plans and leisure centre memberships.</li> <li>A range of benefits to support the health and wellbeing of you and your family such as Employee Assistance Programme, Health Cash Plans, and more.</li> <li>A wealth of career development training to suit your future aspirations.
