We are currently seeking a Senior Software Developer/Tester to join our team in Herndon (REMOTE), Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).
As a Software Developer/Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software product. You will work closely with the development team to identify and resolve issues, ensuring that our software meets the highest standards of performance and reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze system specifications.
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases (manual and automated).
- Identify, document, and track software defects.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Conduct post-release and post-implementation testing.
- Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
- Ensure that new software integrations meet functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications.
- Track and report on quality metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience serving as a Software Developer/Tester or similar.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Cucumber.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Suitability Determination
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data validation testing.
- Understanding the principals of Accessibility Compliance, 508/WCAG.
- Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and tools like Figma.
- Certifications in software testing (ex. CAST, CSQA, ISTQB)
- Proficiency in Python and Java.
- Strong knowledge of automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Jest, Playwright, Selenium, PyTest, JUnit).
- Experience with CI/CD tools and processes in GitHub Actions.
- Solid understanding of API testing and tools like Postman (CLI) Newman.
- Extensive experience with AWS services and infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is [$73,332-$152,776]. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
