WHAT YOU WILL DO: 

  • Independently read, edit, and develop programs, as well as plan and assign required daily task.  
  • Independently performs the job of tool maker "A" in its entirety, operating all the following typical departmentmachines and any specialty machines as assigned. This includes the ability to independently start, set up and run jobs in their entirety. 
  • Milling Mach. - Manual and CNC 
  • Lathes. - Manual and CNC 
  • Centerless Grinder 
  • Surface Grinder 
  • Construct, alter, or repair a wide variety of standard and non-standard developmental and experimental tools such as dies, jigs, fixtures, gauges, etc. to close tolerances and precise set ups for both Manual and CNC 
  • Receives general directions from lead person /foreman and works from complex ideas drawings, sketches, blueprints, and verbal instructions, using micrometers, vernier calipers, calculator, indicators, protractor, etc. to produce the desired part or result.  
  • Must have own basic measuring tools.
