Position Summary

We seek two Project Analysts to provide professional project management support for the Bureau of Indian Affairs. The positions will provide comprehensive project management support services for the planning, executing, and monitoring of various federal projects. These roles will coordinate and communicate project information, track timelines, and deliverables, working in a team environment across the organization.

**This is a W-2 role, working under a Federal Contract supporting the Bureau of Indian Affairs that will last for a minimum of one year and a maximum of 5 years total.**

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  1. Develop and use a system to track and maintain all information on taskers, requests for information, projects, and other performance measures associated with the program management cycle from initial tasking to project closeout. 
  2. Create and maintain project schedules, tracking progress against milestones and deadlines. 
  3. Coordinate with the SMEs for all bureaus/offices to stay at the forefront of project tracking and advise senior management of output performance. 
  4. Conduct a thorough assessment of project requirements and stakeholder needs. 
  5. Facilitate project meetings and regular status meetings with stakeholders. 
  6. Identify risks that could delay project progress and develop risk mitigation strategies as necessary. 
  7. Prepare project status reports and presentations for executive review. 
  8. Collaborate with the project team and coordinate resources to ensure project team members are equipped with the necessary tools and information. 
  9. Provide guidance on project management best practices and methodologies. 
  10. Support the implementation of project management methods, tools, and technologies. 
  11. Develop tracking and reporting mechanisms to facilitate project management and project tracking. 
  12. Work with government personnel to develop and implement a communication system using existing resources in MS Teams, SharePoint, and/or Tableau. 

Qualifications

  1. Be located in the Vancouver, WA/Portland area. 
  2. Possess a bachelor’s degree in a business, policy, or a public administration related field and 4 years of relevant experience*
