Career and Technical Education Director

Job Summary:

• Support the Work based learning program by tracking opportunities, ensure proper documentation, work with Denver Christian, and communicate Work Based Learning initiatives to students.
• Develop relationships with local businesses, industry, and community partners in order to grow and support Work-Based Learning opportunities for students
• Support industry partners with developing high-quality Work-Based Learning experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop relationships with local businesses, industry, and community partners in order to grow and support Work-Based Learning opportunities for students.
• Support industry partners with developing high quality Work-Based Learning experiences
• Ensure Work-Based Learning opportunities align with student learning goals and industry needs
• Conduct worksite visits prior to student placements
• Maintain a database of industry contacts and opportunities
• Be a central point of contact for industry partners across programs
• Coordinates and supports program/cluster events around WBL
• Support professional lecture series and career-connected workshops
• Organize networking events
• Support the CTE Specialist and Career Academies with future readiness
• Advocate, on behalf of Denver Christian, in the development of business partnerships including keeping current with industry trends.
• Track student industry certifications within Denver Christian to meet Graduation Guidelines.
• Keep abreast of state and national issues that affect CTE.
• Within Denver Christian coordinate and provide support for a variety of CTE programs, particularly curriculum and professional development.
• Work with community businesses to research the viability of new CTE programs within Denver Christian
• Perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE: Demonstrated education and related experience that includes three years of teaching experience. An additional three years of post-secondary experience supporting students and academic affairs is preferred. Project Management or Work Force Development a plus

EDUCATION AND TRAINING Bachelor's Degree in a related field required. Experience in Project Management, and knowledge of educational systems preferred
