(Senior) Accountant (f/m/d)

Join Axpo in Oslo and play a key role in managing period-end closings, reconciliations, and technical accounting for our Nordic entities (Norway, Sweden, Finland). As Senior Accountant, you will support statutory and group reporting, ensure compliance with local regulations, and contribute to process improvements.
What you will do:
Manage period-end closing, reconciliations, and technical accounting for NO/SE/FI, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Prepare and validate statutory reports, VAT filings, and group reporting packages (IFRS), supporting both local and group requirements.
Ensure compliance with local accounting, tax, and regulatory obligations, and support audit processes.
Act as deputy to the Accounting Manager, providing additional capacity and support during peak periods.
Drive process documentation, improvement, and automation initiatives, leveraging ERP system (D365BC) and related applications.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory bodies, to facilitate smooth operations.
What you bring & who you are:
Senior accounting qualification, with a commitment to keeping your skills current in Nordic statutory and tax regulations.
Strong technical accounting and reconciliation skills, ideally with experience in Nordic entities and group reporting (IFRS).
Proficiency with BC365 or equivalent ERP systems, and experience supporting VAT, statutory reporting, and audits.
Demonstrated leadership abilities to guide knowledge transfer and serve as deputy during peak periods.
Analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally and adapt to changing requirements.
Fluent in English; proficiency in Norwegian, Swedish, and/or Finnish is a strong advantage.
