Where You Will Work:   

The Transplant and Cellular Therapy Administration Department at Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute is a nationally recognized program that provides comprehensive care for patients undergoing bone marrow transplants (BMT) and cellular therapies, including CAR T-cell therapy and Donor Lymphocyte Infusions (DLI).

We’reLooking For:   

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
  • BSN Degree Required, RN candidates for external hire or internal promotion without BSN must be enrolled in a BSN program upon hire/transfer date and must complete program within 3 years of enrollment in the program.
  • Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state in which one works required.   
  • Oncology experience required.
  • Three (3) years of Nursing experience required

  

What You’ll Do:   

  • The RN Transplant is a professional registered nurse and a designated member of the transplant team who provides comprehensive nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with facility or department policies, procedures, and/or protocols under the supervision of the nursing leader.
  •  The RN works with patients and their families beginning with the evaluation and will continue through the transplant process. The RN assists in maintaining a safe work environment and performs all related job responsibilities in a safe manner. The RN maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the population of patients served. A registered nurse's practice is guided by the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements. 
  • Interprets eligibility criteria to identify high-risk recipients and donors; schedules appropriate consultations to ensure all health needs are met prior to transplant. Communicates eligibility with multidisciplinary team.
  • Coordinates procurement of donor cells/organs while complying with HIPPA standards
