Vestas Global Procurement is responsible for all procurement activities within Vestas, including leading cross functional category teams, negotiations and contract management, development of end-2-end cost out initiatives, category strategy development and supplier relationship management. Responsibilities
Your everyday activities will be characterized by high speed and the requirement to engage in, direct and prioritize between multiple critical projects. Overall expected deliverables include:

• Develop the long-term strategic direction and vision for the HV/Converter area
• Clear leadership of a team of (currently) 3 purchasers/specialists with global responsibility 
• Drive personal and professional development of/with each team member
• Build a close relationship with key suppliers in the commodities and continue to deliver value through long-term supplier account management and partnerships
• Secure the team is an integral part of the Module team
• Build and define the future supply base within C&Es in close collaboration with key stakeholders
• Work closely with the regional matrix organization on the strategy execution and align with both C-Level and Modules in relation to strategies and cooperation with suppliers

 

Qualifications
As a Senior Manager you are expected to show the great example and challenge the organization in our ways of working. Qualifications required in the position:

• 7+ years of experience with strategic procurement
• Experience in leading a team
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or Engineering
• Experience with handling large yearly procurement budgets (+200MEUR)
• Advanced IT skills (proficient with Microsoft Office Package, especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint)
• Proven record of strong stakeholder management skills incl. experience with communication. As the category has a high attention among senior management, world class stakeholder management skills are required
• Fluency in English
