Position Overview
The Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery is seeking to hire an Administrative Assistant I for the Treatment and Detention Facility located in Rushville, Illinois to serve as liaison with the courts, Attorney General’s Office and defense lawyers for sexually violent residents in coordinating a variety of legal issues concerning their stay. Serves as an assistant for the Director of Security responding to a variety of confidential and legislative inquires. Conducts and implements special projects.
Essential Functions
- Serves as liaison with the courts, Attorney General’s Office and defense attorneys for sexually violent persons in coordinating legal matters related to their care, treatment, health behavior etc., in the secure residential care housing facility.
- Serves as assistant for the Director of Security for court writs and medical furloughs.
- Coordinates visits for residents with the legal representatives, independent and psychologists.
- Researches, gathers information and independently performs special projects and studies within the section, some of which are complex and sensitive in nature.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
