WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Provide professional medical services in the community health center setting by administering comprehensive medical services including family practice services for all patients of the health center. Collaborates with other health care professionals and with the Medical Director in the management of patients and their coordination, referral and follow-up care.

Requirements
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The successful candidate will be willing and able to:
- Observation of signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to treatment, general behavior, or general physical condition, and determining of whether the signs, symptoms, reaction, behaviors, or general appearance exhibits abnormal characteristic; and implementation, based on observed abnormalities, of appropriate reporting, or referral, or standardized procedure, or changes in treatment regimen in accordance with standardized procedures, or the initiation of emergency procedures.
- Direct and redirect patient care services that ensures the safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patient; and the performance of disease prevention and restorative measures.
- Direct and redirect patient care services, including, but not limited to, the administration of medications and therapeutic agents, necessary to implement a treatment, disease prevention, or rehabilitation regimen as assessed by and/or ordered by and within the scope of licensure of a physician, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, dentist, podiatrist and clinical psychologist.
- Examines patients to determine presence of illness, utilizing physical findings, laboratory results, medical history, ascertains nature and extent of illness and prescribes treatments as indicated.
- Documents and maintains patient records of services provided according to agency and JCAHO standards.
- Develops and institutes appropriate treatment plans per protocol with the consultation of the Medical Director. Treatment will include the care of acute and chronic medical problems.
- Provides and assists with various counseling and education functions.
- Responsible for other related job duties as assigned by the Medical Director.
The successful candidate has:
- At least 1-2 years of clinical experience working with underserved, low-income persons or homeless persons preferred.
- Current BLS and DEA certification
- Bilingual in English and Russian, Farsi, Pashto/Pushto, or Spanish speaking preferred
Nurse Practitioner:
- Current California RN/NP/NPF License.
- Current Nurse Practitioner board certification.

Physician Assistant
- California Physician Assistant Licens
