About the Role

The Continuous Improvement (CI) Analyst is responsible for driving the optimization and enhancement of accounting processes for our clients’ external client accounts. This role focuses on identifying inefficiencies, recommending innovative solutions, including technology and systems improvements, and ensuring the successful implementation and adoption of those solutions. Strong analytical skills, deep process improvement expertise, technological acumen, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment are essential for this position.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM US Central Time

Work Arrangement: Remote

What you’ll do

Process Review & Recommendation

  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of clients’ accounting processes, identifying inefficiencies and areas for improvement

  • Analyze current systems and processes to develop and promote best practices for accounting within the firm and for clients

  • Develop tailored recommendations for process enhancements, leveraging technology, new systems, and refined workflows to boost efficiency and effectiveness

  • Present improvement proposals to clients and internal teams, showcasing the value of these changes and expected outcomes

Implementation & Continuous Monitoring

  • Support the implementation of approved process improvements while collaborating with clients and internal teams

  • Ensure seamless integration of new systems, tools, and processes, minimizing disruption to client operations

  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented improvements, making adjustments as necessary

  • Maintain detailed documentation of process reviews, improvement recommendations, and implementation outcomes

Training & Support

  • Provide training and ongoing support to staff and clients on new processes and technologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement

  • Work closely with senior management, client services teams, and technology experts to align improvements with overall firm objectives

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in accounting processes

Other Duties

  • Required training and internal meetings

  • And any other duties and tasks to support business needs as directed by management.

Requirements

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required

  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with a significant focus on process improvement and technology integration

  • Willing to work core hours of Central Standard Time in the U.S.

  • Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and using a wide range of different platforms

  • Knowledge (or familiarity) of process improvement techniques and methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)

  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies and develop strategic solutions

  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and teams

  • Strong understanding of current and emerging technologies relevant to accounting processes

  • Ability to work with a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced setting with a wide variety of tasks

  • A love of rapidly changing technology/software solutions that maximize efficiency and deliver firmwide value

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in a CPA firm or consulting environment

  • Certification in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean)
