Job Description SummaryThe Specialty Retention Executive - Employer Group 2-99 is responsible for growing membership within existing accounts and for directly managing business relationships with client accounts. The Retention Executive - Employer Group 2-99 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
Responsibilities
The Specialty Retention Executive - Employer Group 2-99 oversees customer account management, including negotiating contracts and agreements. The Specialty Retention Executive - Employer Group 2-99 is responsible for achieving retention sales goals and add on sales goals for defined book of accounts. Develops and oversees customer retention campaigns. Works to add on other lines of coverage for employer group with Humana. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures. Bachelor's Degree OR 3+ years of sales or sales related experience.
Active Health & Life licenses OR ability to obtain Health and Life licenses within 30 days of hire.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with independent sales agents.
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Self-starter, who also knows how to work well with a team to achieve ambitious goals
Preferred Qualifications
Prior business to business sales experience with Specialty (Life, Dental, Vision) products.
Previous experience in a high call volume sales environment.
Bilingual in English and Spanish--ability to read, write and speak both languages fluently.
Additional Information
Travel: 10%, potentially out of the state the candidate resides.
Work at Home Requirements
• At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
• Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
• Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
• Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
• Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
