Are you called to lead and guide young athletes, to serve an integral role in their spiritual formation? Calvary Chapel Schools is looking for an Athletics Director to lead and guide our school’s athletic department, and the students who are a part of it. As the Athletics Director, you would not only lead the department, but help instill Christian values, preparing the students to live with integrity and faith.
Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa (CCCM) is a Jesus Formed Community on Mission. Community, Formation and Mission are the three main ways that we believe we are to live out our discipleship to Jesus. Through Gospel teaching, training, and resources, God’s people are enabled to take their discipleship into their own hands by living out the listening, serving and helping posture of Jesus in our church community.
Calvary Chapel Schools (CCS) was established to meet the educational, social, and spiritual needs of the children of Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa. CCS is a ministry of CCCM, building up Christian leaders in mind, body, and soul through Biblical truth, character development, and strong academic pursuits, enabling students to serve and enjoy Christ and their community.

Position Purpose
As the Athletics Director you would be responsible for leading our athletic department, embodying and championing the school’s mission and vision. You would be responsible for crafting and guiding the athletic programs for 5th grade up to 12th grade that match CCS’ standard of excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong relationship with Jesus Christ. They will be a minister of the Gospel, exemplifying Christ’s love, and setting a Christ-like example for staff, students, and parents
Responsibilities
- Agree with and live out the mission, vision and core values of CCCM as outlined in the Statement of Faith (www.cccm.com)
- Be an example to those who you come in contact and serve with by exuding the love of Christ
- Understand that it is a privilege to serve the Lord in vocational ministry and that those who serve God on staff at CCCM are expected to embrace a high biblical, Christ-like standard of conduct and lifestyle, both public and personal
- Lead all aspects of CCS Athletic Programs (grades 5-12), developing continuity and growth of athletic programs from elementary through high school
- Organize and manage sports teams, ensuring compliance with school policies and fostering a positive athletic culture.
- Support the well-being and development of student-athletes, emphasizing academic success, character development, and spiritual growth.
- Recruit, train, and develop coaches, ensuring CIF eligibility and adherence to regulations.
- Oversee and develop athletic staff, cultivating a cohesive and supportive team environment.
- Collaborate with school administration on facility management and officiating coordination.
- Maintain clear communication with staff, parents, and students regarding schedules and updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution;
