Your role

As a Senior Accounting Manager (d/f/m) in the team Accounting Offshore Germany, you will oversee the preparation of financial statements for the German RWE Offshore Wind companies under IFRS and German GAAP (HGB). In addition, you will have impact in Offshore projects in Germany to ensure that accounting implications are considered.

 

Your future plans

• You provide quarterly and annual IFRS financial reporting to the RWE Offshore Financial Reporting team in an independent and responsible way. This includes ensuring that the data is complete as well as delivered on time and to good quality
• Moreover, you ensure that Offshore companies are compliant with financial law and regulation including the preparation of annual financial statements under German GAAP (HGB)
• You work on technical accounting topics under German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS, for example impairments, asset retirement obligations, leases etc.
• Another part of your role is to serve as contact person for the auditor for audit-related questions in respect of the companies as well as technical accounting questions
• You contribute actively to Offshore projects in Germany by making sure that local accounting implications are considered and assisting the project team understanding IFRS implications
• Moreover, you onboard and integrate newly acquired companies or development projects with regard to accounting topics
• You collaborate actively with sister finance teams like Projects & Investments, Controlling, Tax, Finance, Legal as well as with RWE AG Accounting

 

Your profile

• You have successfully completed your university degree in Economics or Business Administration, ideally with the focus on accounting and auditing
• Furthermore, you have several years of relevant professional experience, especially with regard to individual financial statements
• Your knowledge of accounting regulations according to HGB and IFRS can be described as very good
• You act comfortably in multi-cultural teams and like collaborating across country boundaries
• What else make you stand out? Your readiness to show a high level of performance and commitment
• Your knowledge of SAP, in particular SAP FI, is proficient. Moreover, you score points with your good knowledge of SAP SEM-BCS and Microsoft Office - in particular Excel
• You enjoy using your very good oral and written German & English language skills in daily business. Additional language skills are a welcome plus
