Job Description Summary:


 

Plans, implements, and evaluates the administrative, operational, supervisory and care coordination activities for the assigned area of responsibility. Leads a multi-disciplinary team in strategic directives and care activities to ensure best outcomes for patients, families, and staff.

Essential Functions:

  • Leads managers in strategic directives and activities to ensure achievement of best outcomes for patient and families. Leads multi and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based clinical programs, policies, and standards. Develops policy and program descriptions to guide operational execution.
  • Develops and implements continuous performance improvement initiatives focused on management and experience for patients, families, and staff. Maintains safety and quality as priorities, providing direction, prioritization, accountability, enthusiasm, and support for safety and quality initiatives.
  • In collaboration with the VP, develops expense, operational and capital budgets.
  • Recruits, trains, evaluate, develops, and assures that performance standards are met. Promotes teamwork by building a team environment and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
  • Coordinates staff representation on departmental, hospital and community task forces, committees, quality teams and advisory groups. Serves as a representative to such groups when appropriate.
  • Participates in departmental and hospital projects that include new Epic implementations or new technology initiatives to design, build, and evaluate ongoing needs.


Education Requirement:

Masters in related field (MSN, MSW, MBA, MHA), required.


Licensure Requirement:

Registered as a Nurse in the State of Ohio/ Licensed Social work in state of Ohio (as applicable), required.


Certifications:

Case management Certification, preferred.


Skills:

Competency in area of clinical practice, care coordination, and leadership.


Experience:

Five years of leadership experience, required.
