This encompasses end-to-end operations, including manufacturing, quality control, logistics, and delivery to healthcare providers and patients worldwide; all powered by science, talent and technology so we can get ahead of disease together.</p><p></p><p>With high standards of excellence and compliance, GSC ensures that GSK can reliably launch new products and meet the demand for its life-saving medications. We operate at impressive scale, with over 26,000 employees and 35 manufacturing sites, supporting 115 markets and producing over 2.3 billion packs of medicines and doses of vaccines, with an ambition to positively impact the health of more than 2.5 billion people by 2031.</p><p></p><p>The GSC Strategy Senior Director position has the global accountability for developing and driving the execution of the manufacturing and supply strategy for a brand or a portfolio of vaccines. He/she acts as the single point of contact (SPOC) between Global Supply Chain (GSC), the Vaccines Development Teams and Vaccines Commercial Teams (VDT/VCT) which are the GSK teams accountable for the successful launch and continued marketing of GSK vaccines.</p><p>He/she is the key architect of the manufacturing and supply network for each product. He/she leads, Strategy Leads who are responsible for overseeing and coordinating the end-to-end manufacturing and supply activities for the brand / portfolio of vaccines.</p><p></p><h2><span><b>Key responsibilities:</b></span></h2><ul><li><span>Develop and drive the execution of the manufacturing and supply strategy for a brand or portfolio of vaccines in line with the business ambition and GSC’s network design strategy</span></li><li><span>Define a manufacturing & supply strategy that supports the long-term brand ambition, is cost effective and maximizes the utilization of the existing GSK assets</span></li><li><span>Maintain a 10-yr capacity plan that reflects the long-range demand forecast for each vaccine in the portfolio</span></li><li><span>Assess future capacity requirements to support business growth, make recommendation on the strategy to achieve them (including <span>investment/divestment</span> and potential partnership responses)</span></li><li><span>Develop key manufacturing intelligence on competitors</span></li><li><span>Partner with Business Development on new opportunities</span></li><li><span>Where applicable, prepare business cases for major capital investments</span></li><li><span>Seek endorsement of the proposed strategy from the relevant GSK governance forums including the SCRB (Supply Chain Review Board)</span></li><li><span>Translate the approved strategy in manageable projects and operational roadmaps and drive execution against objectives and deadlines</span></li><li><span>Acts as the product leader in GSC and as a liaison between GSC, the Vaccines Development Teams and Vaccine Commercialization teams (VDT/VCT) - the accountable teams for the successful launch and continued marketing of GSK vaccines</span></li></ul><ul><li><span>Act as the single point of contact in GSC for all other departments (Commercial, Regulatory Affairs, R&D, Finance, Medical, Business Development, Legal, etc) for product specific matters</span></li><li><span>Accountable for the leadership of each <span>vaccine’s cross-functional</span> global matrix teams (GSC Product Strategy Leadership Teams - PSLT) </span></li><li><span>Each PSLT is composed of senior representatives of all functions involved in the manufacturing, supply and life cycle management of the vaccines in the given portfolio: Site VPs/Directors, Global Supply Chain Director, Technical Life Cycle Management Director, Global Regulatory Affair Director, Global Product Quality Lead, Global Commercial Lead and Vaccine Finance Lead</span></li></ul><p></p><h3><span>For all the vaccines in the given portfolio, each PSLT is responsible for:</span></h3><ul><li><span>Managing the overall manufacturing and supply complexity, identifying the challenges and the responses as well as the opportunities and implementation routes</span></li><li><span>Improving the overall performance through the reduction of production lead times and costs</span></li><li><span>Rationalizing of the GSC product -life cycle management through the minimization of the number of change requests and the prioritization of essential over non-essential projects</span></li><li><span>Overseeing and advising governing bodies and GSC/Quality forums on product specific matters</span></li><li><span>Managing the major crisis situations & risks with, where applicable, the creation of a dedicated issue management team</span></li></ul><p
