Parole Probation Specialist – 70008057

 

 

This advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Community Corrections, Circuit 08. 

 

Salary: $37,582.22 Annual Rate

 

SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The incumbent in this position is expected to become familiar in the department’s reentry initiatives; display leadership skills that demonstrate the department’s commitment to reentry efforts for offenders while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Operates a Cathode Ray Tube Display keyboard and through transcription either from a Dictaphone or a rough draft, produces various documents involving complex legal matters to include Pre-sentence Investigations, Post Sentence Investigations, Violations Reports, Affidavits, Warrants, correspondence and other investigations and documents as required by the Department of Corrections and Circuit Courts. Via word processing equipment, verifies, corrects, and reproduces documents for final submission to the court, criminal justice agencies and others.
  • Maintains and insures the confidentiality of office files, correspondence, reports, and other pertinent documents. Collects data via office automation system for statistical reports and keeps daily records of pending and completed investigations.
  • Prepares monthly travel vouchers for professional staff and acts as the office receptionist when called upon to do so.
  • Receives and records cost of supervision payments and victim restitution payments made by probationers, parolees, and community controlees.
  • Provides responses to the general information inquiries from other criminal justice agencies and local officials.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
